Mary Sooley

    As National Transportation Manager for EMCO Distribution, Mary Sooley has overseen the implementation of various WISL products at EMCO. The process was initiated with a facility referred to as "Rate Shop" within the company which utilizes WISL's FAIS Route Analysis module to provide "best rate" inquiry to branch offices. EMCO has now progressed to performing a full audit on the majority of its shipments utilizing WISL facilities.

    In the course of attempting to collect credible electronic rate records, particularly from smaller carriers, Mary suggested that we utilize the spreadsheets that many carriers use to maintain this information. The result was a standard spreadsheet format that is used to import carrier rates into WISL format. This innovation cuts down on the effort required to enter the rates and provides assurance that the rates data is consistent between carrier and shipper.

    Mary is a career transportation professional, having had stints with carriers, shippers and third party logistics service providers. We are very proud that she considers WISL's rating engine and related facilities as "the best that I have ever encountered".

    Mary is currently supervising the implementation of FAIS Modeling which is providing powerful tools to analyze and model EMCO's logistics operations. We are fortunate indeed that Mary has been our primary contact at EMCO.
