Kathy Galbraith, BookStore Manager at Mount Royal College in Calgary Alberta
was asked what the impact might be if she were deprived of the use of WISL
WebSSA for one month. The following was her reply:

Kathy Galbraith
"WOW! I can't imagine not having access for a month - my heart went through
a few major palpitations at the mere thought!
I use WebSSA daily - what do I look at:
-
I compare sales month to date especially when we approach month end or
before my report meeting with my boss
-
at month end I compare YTD to last year transactions, quantity and sales
-
I can identify areas of each department/class which may be under
achieving and discuss with buyers what strategy to implement to reach goals
-
'at a glance' rather than pulling data from various reports then having
to make calculations
-
comparison with College banner accounting system
-
have been able to identify errors in uploads, wrong accounts being used
-
saves a lot of time rather than findings errors at year end and having
to review 12 months of data
-
when students can't locate receipts or a department can't find copies of
their internal chargebacks we have easy access through WebSSA to verify
transactions & print copies if necessary
-
if we run special events or sales in an area it's very easy to see if
the event was successful by a quick check on class (transactions, quantity,
sales and discounts)
-
comparing days during the rush periods and activity by time slots
-
our scheduling of additional staff is far more efficient and a savings
to the store by not overstaffing
-
if unit sales don't look correct in [our retail management system] (for
one reason or another) we use WebSSA to verify the quantity sold
All in a day with WebSSA."
