Two major interactive facilities comprise the FAIS Route
Analysis module:
 | The Rate Inquiry facility provides automatic rating upon
entry of the characteristics of a shipment. A specific carrier, a group of carriers, or
all recorded carriers may be considered. Service level and region specifications can be
used to restrict the applicable quotes for the rate determination process.

| Many rate quotations are generated as the result of a brief
telephone conversation. The objective of the quote modelling facility is to collect the
necessary information, within the context of a telephone discussion, to enable the
generation of a record that will permit the production of a printed quote and allow
automatic rating. Quotes generated using this facility may be maintained using the rates
maintenance module.

with the PC Miler routing facility to provide input for milage rating.
