WISL Warehouse Management controls the flow of product from plant or vendor to warehouse, between warehouses and out to customers. Picking and packing can be controlled for individual pieces or consolidated trips. Perpetual inventory is maintained throughout all processes and comprehensive inventory audit facilities are included.

WISL Warehouse Management Scenario

Product enters the warehouse from manufacturing or vendor under the control of the Stock Transfer System.

An output file from manufacturing system or a procurement process can establish the stock transfer request record or it may be initiated via clerical entry.

The stock transfer request record is used as the basis for picking a trip to be transferred to a warehouse. The picking routine is normally run on a handheld data collection/scanning device running in RF mode(batch facilities are also available).

Upon arrival at the warehouse, an RF based routine utilizing a hand held data collection/scanning device controls the product storage process(inventory is automatically updated as a function of this process).

RF based picking & packing routines control the generation of shipments by trip(inventory is also automatically updated as a function of this process).

An RF based control routine run on a portable data   collection/scanner unit controls the loading of vehicles.

Inventory Control

The Inventory Control module provides for the maintenance of the perpetual inventory through the various warehouse management routines discussed above, tracking product by stocking unit id(eg specific carton). It provides facilities for conducting detail inventory audits(cycle counts) using RF based facilities as well as audits for corporate financial control. Reporting provides for the tracking of product movement at the stocking unit level and monitoring of inventory levels over time.
