Installation Preparation

There are many files that must be established to accomplish the courseware/copyright management activities performed by C/CM. Principal among these are the copyright vendor file, the courseware file and the course pack file.

C/CM initiates the addition of a new textbook record on the retail management system when a new courseware file record is added and these textbook records are maintained on an on-going basis through a transactional interface between the two systems. The course pack file is an index of courseware records that are included in the course material required by a specific academic course.
